Not many people understand how difficult and complicated it is to build until they are faced with an overwhelming number of design decisions and stacks of legal paperwork. Every project can be broken down into several phases completed sequentially to insure project goals are met. Some clients have made many choices before hand which shortens the time frame from consultation to completion.

Initial Consultation

Time: 1-2 Hours scheduled during regular business hours.

Discuss what the project is and the assigned resources.
Identify and prioritize the “Must Haves,” and “why’s”
Compare other recent projects of similar scope to identify a cost range.
Question Answer Session

Project Development, Agreement and Conceptual Design

Time: 1 to 6 weeks depending on client preparedness

Revise and define project priorities.
Create initial design concept.
Review the 3 fundamental elements of each project;

Design Program – The problems to be solved by the project.
Aesthetics – Style, finish work, and home chemistry.
Investment – Home value now v. future value post project.

Measure and Photograph the home.
Profile existing condition, drawing of home, permits needed etc.

Construction Agreement

Design Development

Time: Additional 2 to 4 weeks

Finalize floor plans and design elements
Finishes selected – cabinetry, appliances, counters/floors
